Here are some answers.
How many miles are in a full marathon?
26.2 too many.
Have you run a full marathon before?
No, but I've run 7 half marathons (13.1 miles), 2 quarter marathons (6.55 miles), 3 10ks (6.2 miles), and 10 5ks (3.1 miles) - so I should be fine right...? Right???
Are you a fast runner?
A wise philosopher once said, "Focus. Speed. I am speed. One winner, 42 losers. I eat losers for breakfast." That wise philosopher is Lightning McQueen, and reader, I am not him.
How long do you think it will take you to finish the marathon?
A very long time. If you're not able to come in person/plan to just track me on the website, please prepare to liken the experience to watching paint dry. If you ARE coming in person, please feel free to bring snacks and drinks and maybe a ball of yarn or a sudoku book to keep you occupied.
If I travel to Dallas for your race can I stay with you?

How much did you train for this?
I've logged over 400 miles since July 28, following a 20-week training plan. I can only compare that feeling to how 8-year-old me felt after sitting through the entire 3 hour Avatar (2009) movie. It was a long time spent enduring something I didn't enjoy, and I will never have those hours of my life back. But here I am now anyway I guess.
